May 1 Prayer

Regions/UUPGs: We pray for the man in Tataouine who is searching for the truth. He owns a copy of the Bible. May he have a strong hunger to read, obey, and share it with others even today.

Petition from a Tunisian Believer: I am a new believer from northern Tunisia. My hobby is camping. My Christian friends shared the Gospel with me while on one of our trips. Pray that I will be able to share the Gospel with others during our camping trips and through my drawings.

Pray Hebrews 11 for Tunisia: “He considered the reproach of Christ greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking to the reward.” (Hebrews 11:26) Awaken Tunisians to the greater wealth of Christ. May multitudes esteem Him more than any treasure they can have here on earth.

Petition Against Spiritual Barriers: Tunisians are taught that God wills everything and so there is no point in trying to change it. If someone dies of lung cancer due to smoking, then it was simply God’s will. If they don’t have a job, it is God’s will. Pray for new believers to reject this passivity. Pray that they will live wholeheartedly for God. Philippians 1:27-28 says “Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ…. stand firm in the one Spirit, striving together as one for the faith of the gospel without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you.” 

Praise the One True God: The LORD alone is Revealer. You make known the knowledge of Yourself in all the earth. (Psalm 22:27, 30-31) “All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the Lord, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you…Posterity shall serve him; it shall be told of the Lord to the coming generation; they shall come and proclaim his righteousness to a people yet unborn, that he has done it.“
